A selective inhibitor against purified MEK, exhibiting a Ki of 1 nM against activated MEK1 and MEK2. It has been shown that 1 µM PD0325901 combined with 3 µM CHIR99021 (2i) prevents cell differentiation and sustains self-renewal of murine embryonic stem cells.
